"I have had this vacuum for a short period of time so I can't speak to its durability. BUT I can say that this vacuum does an absolutely wonderful job cleaning. I have two toddlers and a dog with white hair. I went shopping for a new vacuum because the one I had wasn't cleaning up the "kid detritus" (as my husband and I call it) or the dog hair. The family room carpet was getting dirtier and dirtier--I was even resorting to using one of those sticky, rolly things to get up dirt because I was so embarassed when friends would bring their kids over and they'd get dog hair on them. The Sebo vacuum picks up the kid mess and the dog hair. I really like the way the body swivels too. It really helps with cleaning corners and hard to get to places. I wish I had had this vacuum when my carpets were new! Two other things I really like about this vacuum: 1) It's lighter than the other uprights I've had; and 2) This vacuum is substantially quieter than any other vacuum I've used."
